Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 27 3:55 am)
Poser renderings, both in preview mode and the final renders, are done via software rendering. Even if your video card is a 3D accelerated type, it's not being used for anything other than simple 2D screen drawing. The only time you can blame your video card for things not looking right in Poser is if the card's 2D image settings are funny, like for example the gamma setting. Of course, this knowledge cannot be extended to other 3D applications--most can or do take advantage of 3D video cards via OpenGL or DirectX, for their realtime previewing (never for final renders though). Poser is the exception, not the rule. -Adam

I hope someone can help. I wish i had these stupid computers networked so i could upload a pic to show the problem i am having but will try to describe it best as i can.
I have been working on a fairly complex image for several moths now, and finally everything is in place, now here is my problem, when i try to render the thing i get a gray fog look to the scene, i can get maybe the front 2 characters clear and everything in the back ground has this haze on it.
At first i thought.. okay maybe its the carmera angles.. that helped some at first but as i rebuilt the pic the deeper the scene got, the more the haze...help help help?.. i am using poser 4 with the pro pack enhancement .. any suggestestions?.. This is a charmer of a pic i really want to finish this one and share it..
If it is any help my OS system is xp pro if that is a problem.. eesh.. grasping at straws here..
Thanks,
Shali
