Subject: Creating a texture for an .obj file to use in Poser

Hi, I've imported .obj files downloaded from the net into Poser and would like to be able to create textures for them and don't have a clue how to do it. I'm familiar with creating textures for Poser using templates that I have for the figures. But where to get the templates for the .obj files to create textures? If anyone could point the way I would really appreciate it.

The easiest way is to use UVmapper (shareware) to get the template. Install uvmapper. Open the obj in uvmapper. Now 'Save Template' and choose your options (size, color depth, etc). Close your obj without changing or saviong anything. There you go :) now you can open that bitmap in a paint program and go wild. Just remember to paint inside the lines, and don't move any shapes. Have fun! and BTW - you can come and ask the texturing forum folks for tips :)

If you go through the tutorials links there are a number of good basic texture tutorials, aimed towards poser users.
