hi, thanks for your help. But is that a Mac solution? It doesn't look like. Regarding the render settings, you can use one setting in the Prefs. Because i am using a german version og vue it is difficult for me to tell you wich one. It is setting number 10 (counted from the top) and translated it must be something like "reset render settings for new scene". But to switch that off doesn't help really. Because (my version of) Vue keeps the defined resolution but loses the anti-aliasing settings and always goes back to "preview mode". But again, thanks for your reply :-)) Walther
