Subject: Interpretation of W coordinate in Daz's M2 & V2 UV's?

My blMilWom.obj file has all zeros for the third codinate of the vt statements. My blMilMan.obj uses 0.013357 and -0.699724. The Alias/Wavefront specification for OBJ files defines the W codinate only for 3D textures, and the texture maps we use are only 2D textures. I would wonder if the third codinate is garbage introduced by some OBJ manipulation program. I have worked with at least one file converter that would stick garbage W codinates in if the original file had only U and V. Perhaps DAZ at some point copied the body and head separately, then merged them. Just a thought.... Lynn Grant Castle Development Group
