This may be an abvious question but do you have Carbon Lib installed in your system folder? If you do I believe it has to be version 1.2 or older as the later versions do not run with 8.1. If you can, upgrade to OS 9. If you already have OS X then it also came with 9.1 As an FYI, the interface lib error you are getting relates to the Mac Toolbox API on classic os's. So if installing carbon lib does not do the trick, you may need to reinstall 8.1. -Paul
