Lots of work going on here Punkclown. #1 now has a point of focus and your eye now stops at the figure. Not sure about Alphas comment, I feel the front frame makes the threshold, If you where to use a door you would not exclude the building because its part of it. #2 is the stronger picture and your use of light and dark really emphasises the threshold theme. You might think about experimenting with colour change or duotoning or even b&w just to add to the grimy city feel. :O)
