Well, what I usually do is: 1) Chose the model. I'll admit that for females, I usually default to Posette unless I have a reason for one of the others. That's because I have a metric buttload of morphs for Posette and know where they are and what they do, while I'm still learning Vicki et. al. 2) Morph away. 3) Create/chose the texture. I usually make my own because I go for a less realistic style than most texture makers. 4) Store to my library and go on to the next character. I tend to make more characters than I actually have projects for, creating Poser figures of story characters and such. ^_^; 5) Pose figure. 6) Chose camera angle. I imagine a lot of people do this before posing the figure so they know where they can fudge or what they can skip because it won't be seen, but I have an engineer's mindset. I like to get everything set up as it would be IRL, then figure out where I want to stand. 7) Add light. The order varies according to what I'm doing. If I'm putting a character in a specific environment, I'll usually do the lights and sometimes the camera before posing. There's really no best order; it's what works for each person and each project.
