Omnedon-on a p2 celeron 400, it will render a 800x600 scene, at 144 dpi, with two characters in around 3 minutes...and that was with a 16meg graphic card. the image that the link leads to, was rendered at 96 dpi on an Athlon 1.7g with a 64meg gForce 4, and took all of 15 seconds. If you choose to render at 72 dpi with anti-alias turned off, a render in the main window can be turned around in a couple of minutes at most, even on low spec machines.
