One very common misconception is the use of the "apostrophe" (') in a word with an "S." My last name is Knights. You put an apostrophe (') there to signify "ownership." Example: Ron Knights' web site. However, you don't use that apostrophe (') in this sentence: There are at least two Ron Knights in the world. An apostrophe (') is also used in a "contraction:" It's a nice day (This is short for: It is a nice day.) *** So if we get back to the possesive sense of the punctuation, we have two scenarios: 1.) If this forum belongs to one writer, it's a Writer's Forum 2.) If this forum belongs to more than one writer, it's a Writers' Forum. However, that only applies if both words are together. If we merely use the word "Writers" to designate the forum, then it's the same as having the Poser forum. No apostrophe (') is needed. *** Now that I've said all that, I'll be the first to say I've been known to fracture many rules concerning punctuation and grammar. I love to use exclamation marks a lot!!!!!
