No one's trying to blow you off and you're not disturbing anyone. If you don't understand something once you've done some research then ask away. Paths have many uses. Constrian an object to a path so that it only follows the path when it moves or even multi-replicate an object constrained to the path to form beads, chains etc. I suggest getting Real World Bryce 4 which is an excellent book with lots of info on how to do things. Amazon.com should have some copies, it just as useful for Bryce 5 as it is for 4....not much difference between programs.
