Umm....i want to make a real simple animation of a logo rotating. The logo contains 9 pieces. How would I go about beginning this animation?? I'm very clueless about animating things.

Storyboard: sketch a storyboard from the camera's point-of- view, showing key events and actions that happen within each scene. Use these images as a blueprint or guide. --Ashley3d

Another solution if you don't want to use the storyboard room : group everyting and apply the Spin behavior to it . litst

Is the logo rotating as a whole? Or, different parts spinning in place? If the first, follow litst's advice, if the latter, don't group them, but apply the SPIN behavior to each part. I have done this a few times, and found that it slows down my computer when redrawing the scene when I move the timeline. The thing is that C has to re-calculate the whole timeline up to the point you move to, just so you can adjust something. Also, I would suggest you don't move things half way through the time line if a SPIN is active. The program does some funny things trying to both use the behavior and the explicit motion. Experiment with a couple of simple shapes before using behaviors on anything you've spent a lot of time creating. It will save you a lot of hassles. Also, SAVE OFTEN TO NEW FILES! Use a simple revision numbering scheme. If something doesn't seem to respond correctly, you may find it difficult getting back to your original model. Just my 2 cents worth! ;> Good luck!
