Now, as Cybrbeast requested, I've made a syringe. But I would so much like it to be poseable, so that the [whatever that thing inside is called] can be retracted. But HOW???

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

I've no idea but I'm stunned at how quickly you work, when was this requested? Four, five hours ago? Phew!

The part you reference, I will call the plunger, but I am not sure if that is the correct term. You can make it poseable one of two ways I can think of off hand. 1) you can make the plunger part seperate from the rest of the syringe, then parent the plunger as a child to the syringe, and saving it as a group in Poser. Working the ytran should make it move up and down. (2) You can make this a morph by having this as one mesh (verticles must be the same that is for all variations) but with the plunger extended out for one and the plunger pushed all the way in for the other. Load the one with the plunger extended out into Poser, then load the other as a morph target. I would think making the plunger part seperate would be the easier way to go. However, if you have them already made up as seperate parts and would like them to be one prop with morphs, it should be easy enough to make the morph out of the objects by exporting the parts as a single prop, one with the plunger retracted, and the other with the plunger inserted. Hope that helps and I haven't confused you. Maybe someone else, better at explaining stuff, will pipe in. I will be glad to help you out, if not.

I think the point at command would be useful here, it works on two cylinders each pointing at each other and operating like a piston...

Saxon I think you've got a point. At least now it works almost as I want it, with some "point at" and some parenting. Oh and Shadownet, it IS 2 different objects and I tried with morphs but they didn't work (at least not the first ones I created) Hopefully it will be fully functional and ready to upload sometime tomorrow, but it's 12:30am here and I better get to bed now :o)

Yeah, now he needs a spoon prop, and a match prop. Just to get through the day.
