Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 7:57 am)
it's quite easy to do :) make your picture, resize it to the right size, I forget what it should be something like 91x91 pixels, then save it as a PNG file, change it's name to match the cr2 file, use p3d0explorer with rsr2png plugin to change it to a rsr file, and bob's your uncle. 1 rsr file of your choice. Rob
Yes, it's 91x91. If you have Photoshop 6 or 7 (not sure about 5), you can save the .rsr directly. Do a "save as..." and then select "PICT Resource" as the file type. Also, if you export the image from Poser, pick a file type that saves the alpha channel, such as .psd. Then when you bring the render into Photoshop, make sure to select the alpha channel and invert it. (ctrl-"I" or apple-"I"), so that it reverses the white and black. Then resize to 91x91 and save as an .rsr. This will give you a nice rendered thumbnail without a background. If you're on a Mac you can use ResEdit to cut and paste the thumbnail into the resource fork of the .cr2, .pp2, or whatever. You might also be able to get MacConverter to do this for you, but I haven't tried that. The filename of the .rsr would probably have to match the name of the base file.
Maclean ((hope i got that right)) answered me this last week...i tried the png to rsr but didn't have any joy, so i followed his advice of rendering the image you'd like as an rsr at a good size ((i used 400x400)) save it and import it as a background, then move the camera off to the side and save the object into appropriate folder and there you have your "thing" saved with a great looking rsr. hope this helps Ever
