october: No, I'm on a PC using Windows 98. Maybe this will help you. Carrara will only render a view from a camera. Therefore to do what you want to do you must set a camera to one of the preset views(top, left, etc.) To do this one of your view windows must display a view from a camera. then you can change that camera's view by selecting one of the preset views.
