Hey, I only had 2 errands... not gone that long. Besides, it looks like you got it converted and posted just fine! {hug} Oh, that crab may think he is king of the rock, but some rock singer humming "Louie, Louie" will be along any moment now. Brittle stars don't feature in as many recipes. :) They are all safe from me, anyway. Those are nice shells. Fantastic crab model, too, and the starfish are just exquisite. I would have done a touch of postwork where wet rock meets dry, but am not sure what Lyrra's contest requirements are. Even though brightly colored, I agree with the comments about this being a restful image... maybe because we can readily imagine the ocean sounds? Anyway, good job getting all of this in focus! Did you use the face camera? Carolly
Thank you all for your kind comments....I know it has it's problems, but I learn so much from each piece I attempt. So I'll go on entering challenges and contests, because the deadlines force me to actually finish something (!) instead of hiding it until I get it right. Solved the focus problem in a typically newbie-ish, unpractical way---rotated the whole scene (not the camera...Doh!) until everything was in clear focus. Hubby is not in the marketplace. Yet. There's such a dearth of nice hairy chests in there though....hmmm? Rendered in Poser. And as I write, my entry for the Bryce Atlantis challenge is rendering in the background--all 1,079 objects and 1,963,293 polygons of it--so I'd better go get it into the gallery before I forget how to do that!
Pat, Forget about the "god games", with tools like these we really can create a world to our liking. ;^) Want water to stand on end? Gesture and with a command of might and majesty >>>ROTATE<<< it obediantly flows to our bidding and stands like glass to catch the light. (Please note that glass is a very dense liquid. It is not solid. Given a thousand years the flow becomes measureable.) Hmm... hairy chests.... soon. :) We will need an accurate count, though. If Richard isn't willing to be photographed, perhaps he will allow a survey? Carolly

Not only my first gallery posting, but also my entry in lyyra's Unofficial Wildlife Contest. It's taken almost as long to figure out how to make a JPEG and thumbnail of the image as it did to create it! My long-suffering mentor, hauksdottir, was otherwise occupied this afternoon, so I had to stumble through that on my own. Then uploading got complicated and I had to be bailed out by my hubby, who, thank the gods, is a Computer Person (not like Mike or Vicki--oh, you know what I mean).....are you getting a picture of my day?! It *does* get easier.....doesn't it?
