Well it was an attack. I had already proven that the crusty waitress comment was indeed a compliment. I even provided the proper reference in US culture for those of you who might not be familiar with such a scenario. In fact I was prepared to provide some TV references to that type of character. The name Flo comes to mind. She worked in Mel's Diner, along with Alice, the perennial good mom type figure. There are other cultural or media references. Now the comment concerning my alleged childish behavior is not the same as the crusty waitress comment. It is not meant as a compliment. I don't even go to every thread, and I don't comment on PWFW in every thread I visit. However, this is a thread asking for recommendations concerning PWFW. My initial response was a very positive comment. The responses to that compliment continue to be quite negative. That's pretty strange.
