Someone in another thread a few weeks back mentioned that their "spiritual beliefs" (in quotes because I'm not sure of the EXACT phrase used) prohibited them from allowing people to make money from any gifts they gave. And I thought to myself at the time that it was rather silly, then, to give a gift of pencils or paintbrushes to an artist or a pincushion to a seamstress or a set of wrenches to a mechanic or a new typewriter to an author. As for the freestuff restrictions here, I don't give a rat's rear end. If I cannot use it for what I need, then it's useless and gets deleted (or I don't bother downloading in the first place). As for the person who said it was unenforceable, well, I do have to agree there to some extent. If, for instance, the creator of the prop lives in Alaska and the creator of the image lives in New Mexico and the image is never seen online, how in the world would the prop maker even KNOW that it had been used in an image that was sold at the local flea market? Believe it or not, not all art is sold online. There is a whole other world out there with a lot of people in it who buy pictures to hang on their walls. These people don't care who made the props or the textures or the poses or the light sets or the MAT files or the Morph Targets, all they care about is whether or not they like the picture and if the price is right. Keep your expectations realistic, folks. Remember, the entire world does not exist within the confines of the internet. Kate (wandering off to do something constructive with her time)
