If your problem is that the toes stick outside the boots, try moking the toes invisible. I've found that woth boots/shoes that's usually the only way to make a proper fit. Just doubleclick (in Windows) on the item you want to make invisible and remove the checkmark in "visible" and "cast shadow" and you're set :o)
