Free! In PP2 form, which is not quite as convenient as CR2. One control to raise, another to set angle. The pull cords move properly with each setting; it's up to you to make your character's hand move with the cord. Go to the link, find the BLINDS1 folder, and download the BLINDS1.ZIP file; then unzip and place the PP2 and PNG in a subfolder within your Props library.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.

Very interesting, Ockham. I see you've been busy with the ERC/props thing. Looks good. Only problem is, you get crosstalk with more than 1 blind in the scene. But maybe the poser 5 fix will help. mac

Oops. Forgot about crosstalk. I'll read some of the material about crosstalk (by Rbtwhiz and Nerd3d) and see if any solutions will work.

Doesn't the usual fix work, with a null in between each figure load? it means of course that one has to have a null with exactly the same parts as the blinds I suppose. Hope you get that sorted out - this is an excellent model!! :] FishNose

What program are you guys using to make animated gifs like these? Are you converting a poser animation to gif format in an animation editing program or just using photoshop? Look great. Pinto

I run Poser to generate an animation in full-frame AVI mode; then I use PSP's Animation Shop to divide down the frame count and condense the colors down to a GIF small enough for this situation.

I don't know about the others, but I normally use JASC Animation Shop, which came bundled with Paint Shop Pro. It's also available separately. Great blinds, ockham!

I've resolved the crosstalk problem in the crudest possible way: by setting up 4 separate PP2 files. The ZIP now contains all 4. If you need more than one blind in a scene, just insert BLIND1 then BLIND2 then BLIND3... as if they are completely different props. (They just happen to look the same!) And if you need even more, Copy BLIND1.PP2 to BLIND5.PP2 Use find/replace in a text-mode editor to replace all instances of Control1 with Control5 then save the new file. (Same way for further numbers.) There's nothing magic about the word "Control"; I just made sure that all the lines that need to be modified end with that set of letters, so that a single find/replace will do the job.

Ah, did you remove the file? The Blinds folder is empty?

Well, I thought I had uploaded the new 4-pak last night. Apparently the upload failed. I did it again just now, and BLINDS.ZIP seems to be there now. Sorry about that!

I'll find a use for this, I'm sure. It seemed to download ok tonight. Thank you, - TJ

Thanks, ockham! I know just exactly which Vicki is going to dig these - so the Mike living opposite can only see her when she wants him to! :o] :] FishNose
