Thanks--I'm just 45 minutes away from Mt. Mitchell, highest point east of Mississippi. Actually, I'm in the foothills and just a quick 1/2 hr. from Blue Ridge Parkway, altho' that one was shot near home with mts. in background.

I'll look for more mt. shots. I have some on my pbase gallery site, but no recent ones. I was on the parkway Saturday but it was extremely hazy and nothing much attracted me (plus we were taking my mother for a drive--so not much time to wander around though I always have a camera with me LOL). Fall is coming--a beautiful time of year in the mts.
