yeah yeah yeah, and the senators had a purple band on the hem of their togas, denoting rank, I know. pants didn't come into fashion in the roman world until the huns arrived and the Byzantines decided they were great military equipment... Hunnish robes were also adopted and became the byzantine uniform of state. Point is, GREEKS (hellenic period and Hellenistic period) did NOT wear togas.
