I have heard the K&N air filter is the way to go also a close ratio shifter. I want to get that put in mine but I have to wait. We are just finishing up restoring a 1949 Pontiac hearse/ambulance. 55,000 original miles on it . It runs like a charm and I love the looks we get when we go for a drive(of course its been at the shop for close to a year.) The floors all needed to be replaced in the front. It was originally from Michigan so there was salt damage also. Can't wait to get it back. Marge
