- It depends on system configuration. The fastest pentium on the market is faster than the fastest mac. As far as I know, but RAM is a big issue too. If you take a fast G4 with 512MB RAM it's going to be faster on complex scenes (with large filesizes) than a fast pentium with 256 MB, because the G4 can use more ram wich is obviously faster than swapping from the harddisk. 2. As for using multiple programs. It depends mostly of what you want to make. If you want to make organic forms or small plants bryce just doesn't work. I don't know anyone who uses only one app for all his/her images. Personally I use bryce, amapi and UFX or PSP most of the time. But I can use Photoshop and Corel photopaint too if I want. I try to make as much as possible in bryce itself, but I don't really mind if I have to go to Amapi or some other app.
