Yep, those old codecs were always nasty! BRRRRR! - Video 1 was really bad and Cinepak always looked pixelated, especially on animation. I totally agree with the comments here about Indeo. In the past, I used Indeo 5.11 for all of my animation work - nice crisp detail and colours, but now I do everything in PAL resolution using the DV codec from MainConcept. (Makes it easier to use with miniDV video). To share things around I convert them to MPEG-1 format using VideoCD specs. I like DivX, heard lots of good things about Sorensen too, but for me MPEG-1 is still the best way to ensure that everyone can view your work without any codec hassle. Dave :-)
