This is all rather confusing. I had some old re-writable CD's formatted for Direct CD, and loaded them out of curiosity. I was able to read the CD's. I just haven't tried to write to them. My CD burner is less than 3 years old. Gee, that must be ancient. By the way, I installed the new version without uninstalling the old one. I thought something was funny. Two versions of PBooost were running! I uninstalled the old one and all seems ok now.
