i wanted to reply to your initial message but forgot... funny, but i was also going to suggest to put the guy on the more prominent space and to drop the ship. :) for the second one: i think it's a bit cluttered in the middle. too much detail. crescent earth and moon would be more suitable and dramatic. "forward into yesterday" - beginnings, dawn & stuff are associations... good work!
