Just a thought, I doubt you'll find a totally free host without pop-ups these days. But, if you go to www.directNIC.com and register a domain (yourname.com) they provide 20MB of free space (I think it's 20 it may be more or less) and no bandwidth restrictions. The stipulations are that you can't link directly to files or pics, and no file may be larger than 200K. They do put ads on your page, but you can choose between either pop-ups, or a frame with an ad, or a banner on top and bottom. It's only $15 per year, and the offer free space, free subdomains (yoursubdomain.yourname.com), free email forwarding so name@yourname gets automatically forwarded to whatever email you want, and you get your own domain.
