True, Charlie. But, did you know you can actually make a hologram with JUST a laser pointer? It's true, hard to believe, but true. They don't look great, but they're actually not too bad. Also, on the other extreme, if you use a double-Yag laser, you're looking at around 220+ mJoules!! But, of course, these are used as pulse lasers for portraits, and are only fired for about 10 nanoseconds. WHAM-BAM-THANK-YOU-MAM.
