As I have stated before compare CL's EULA whith that of any commercial software company out there and you will find it far less limiting in it's language. It's not just greed, it's a matter of simple survival. CL is a small company if they let everyone freely distribute copys to friends and coworkers they will not make enough to survive. it is very much about piracy otherwise they wouldn't say you can load it onto more then one computer for your own use. as I said most software doesn't even allow that, look at your windows EULA sometime.
