Did you give it a new name and edit the CR2 to look for this? Or, did you give it the same name as the old version and just protect the old OBJ somehow? If it is the latter, did you remember to delete the .RSR in geometries? The planar mapping will produce really crappy texturing for the facets on the sides. They become edge-on. You might consider stretching and squeezing the present map instead. The unfolding is difficult to duplicate - unless you have a program that does this.
