Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 7:57 am)
That bit you mention about the bone name for the "head" ... I learned that the hard way, while making some figures Mimic-compatible. And it definitely has to be lowercase. Naming a bone "Head" won't work. When I adapted Valandar's Land Dragon earlier this week, I was faced with the prospect of renaming the bones, which would mess up the grouping of the mesh. Instead, I created a new "head" bone as a phantom body part, and added ERC dials with the same names as the morphs used by Mimic. The ERC dials were linked to corresponding morphs in the actual head. I even linked the head rotation.

not much new in v 1.4 of my FAQ I did find out Poser doesn't need to be installed to install MIMIC. Mimic only requires a file named poser.exe be present in the folder you wish to install to. Please make comments as to additions you'd like to see to the (or DAZ3D's) FAQ. There is a lot you can do with MIMIC besides lipsinc-ing and I'm glad DAZ saved it from the trash bin. I proudly own two copies (due to the copy protection). So if you want to gripe please start another thread for that. Thanks in advance :)
