While I agree that clear spelling and grammer are important, the main purpose of language is to communicate and record thoughts and ideas. "IMPORTANT! Do not loose[sic] or throw away!" tells me to hang on to the serial number, even with the mispelling. Mission accomplished. If I say to you "Run! A bunch of rabid buffalos is stampeding this way!" are you going to correct my grammer, or save your fanny? I also know that when it comes to editing, the laws of diminishing returns come into play.
