From what the article says, I don't think there is a need to panic. It states that it can be done, but I find no evidence that there are any infected jpg files on the net with that virus. The article also mentions an 'extractor' virus that a system must be infected with in order for the jpg virus to work... at least that's the impression I got from this article.
