Actually, in my experience women are harder on other women than men are. I'm also aware of the studies of anthropologists that show that all around the world (not just in one particular culture) males tend to evaluate females by physical attributes. Females tend to evaluate males by potential ability to provide for them. That's based on objective studies - not opinion. I'm not at all saying it's right or wrong. I can't say what causes it. I will, however, say that it's what is. If it's any consolation, I've never seen a guy I thought was beautiful.
