Hmmm.... I like the idea of exclusivity, I like being a little special but I don't like the idea of excluding others, which is of course what will happen if we limit ourselves to just the 12. Since we are so good at conceptualising the world, perhaps it might be better to say that no matter how many we are, we will always be twelve.
