Subject: i have problems with transparency

When I use transparents clothes the render doesn't work well... Can anybody help me? I configure all the options and the part of the clothes that have to be transparent don`t be!!! the rest works correctly.

What isn't working correctly? It might be easier to help you if you showed us some images with what's wrong and what you're trying to do. One thing - you need to play with the transparancy sliders (beneath the color selection bars, and above the texture boxes on the Render Properties screen) for each material that needs to be transparent, and if you want something partially transparent you need a transparancy map (grayscale image) loaded in the Transparancy window. The manual covers this fairly well, on pages 252-254 and 342.

Also the transparency map has to be applied to the right part(s), particularly the same parts that you have a texture for. Skin for skin, abd for abd, etc. Sometimes the "preview" is the actual figure. Otherwise, applying the maps/textures to a preview won't show diddly. Also, a lot of clothes have "body parts" that aren't really there.

thx Now i can use the transparencies with the clothes. The problem was slider and that i don't render it to see the result I suposed that I was able to see it in the preview. Thanks for your answers.
