As bonestructure has said, there is no need to partition the hard drive if the full size is recognized. If you had a hard drive over 10 gig, you might want to partition it, but it's easier for all the housekeeping to keep a smaller drive at one partition. Also, Win NT will only recognize up to a certain size(what it is, I don't know) so most NT machines are partitioned.
