Subject: My turn at Nubie Question of the Day... the "Hither" dial?

What's it for? Musta missed this one in the patch readme and cannot tell exactly what it is doing by rotating it, and haven't seen anyone else mention it. Just what does this new dial on the cameras do?

Let me see if I can explain this... Say you have this complex scene set-up in poser with multiple figures and props. When you view the scene, one or more figures or props may be placed infront of each other making it hard to get to the ones in the back. When you use the hither dial you can "Look Through" the figures and props to see the figures and props behind them. I assume this makes it easier to tweak the poses and placements. As far as I know this doesn't effect the final render at all. -JH.

Nance, I've been wondering that for some time now, thanks for asking. JH, thanks for answering

I guess you could call it a clipping plane. Pretty useful sometimes. /Ohman

That's exactly what it is. I wish the effect was renderable. -JH.

"hither" is an old word meaning "to here". So it means "display the objects up to this near to the camera".
