Nate, The dynamics are not totally exclusive, Position force dial sets how much influence your style has on dynamics. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to keep hair that is touching something from frying. Yeah, I aws able to get similar results. the cillosions do keep most of the hairs from passing through objects. But the side effect of a 50,000 volt shock is not very helpful. I just got a message back from CL's tech department. It looks like this is going to be accepted as a bug. Hopefully we'll see this fixed in a patch in the near future. My guess as to what is happening is that the collision engine for the hair is detecting a collision and causing the colliding vertex(s) to rebound, This sends a wave down the strand causing the next vertex to collide and rebound. This is creating a feed back pattern in the hair. This was probably supposed to make the hair "bouncy" but it came out fried instead.
