I would like to point out a few things here. There is a very simple reason why 3D Studio Max, Alias Wavefront Maya, Nichimen Mirai, Softimage 3D, and Lightwave 3D among others, cost about 20 times what Poser does. You can create super realistic special effects and characters, incorporate then into million dollar movies, and make a fortune. Poser has in no way such capabilities and has a very limited rendering engine. Don't get me wrong, I love playing with Poser 4 and I do a lot of web graphics and fantasy art paintings with it, but I know the difference and reason for the prices of the high end softwares.
