Hmm...Well, it looks like I won't know for sure for a few more hours. I just installed the 'Software only' package, and it says it needs to reboot. I loaded it up anyways though....I live life on the edge :) . Anyways, it looks like the patch is working fine, although I messed with it for only a few minutes. The face room, which previously I was unable to use, works. Mouse wheel in the libraries work. Everything works great for me.....That is...Until I reboot. Muhahaha. It might be worth while for someone to find out where these desktop settings are stored, how to edit them, and if backing them up before installing the patch would be worthwhile - so that one might copy them back over after the patch.
