Subject: Creating conforming Clothing question...

heyas; you're doing lots of stuff you don't need to do. 1: you DO need to model the clothes around the base obj file, not any exported object. but don't despair. just import the base obj into poser, and load your clothing. "pose" your clothing so it fits on your figure. then export that as your new base obj. problem solved. 2: you DO need to slice your clothing obj into the correct body parts corresponding to the target figure. if you have lightwave 7, you can just create "parts" with the proper names. (you can also create materials right in lightwave.) for heaven's sake, skip the chopping each piece and exporting each piece and importing each piece and ESPECIALLY the mucking around in the hierarchy editor bit :) if you don't have lightwave 7, you can still create part_material groups and edit them in a text editor with search and replace. 3: you do not need to zero the catsuit, it is already a properly conforming figure. just copy the cr2 and plug in your obj file. for the 'painlessly easy conforming clothing' tutorial, check out my goodies page :)
