CyberStrech: they could remove it, but it could be made to blend in to one of the files. It would be very hard to spot. Open up a .cr2 file in a text editor and you'll see what I mean. I guess in the end, there's really not much you could do to stop pirating. I think the footnote thing is the best idea that I've ever heard of though - And yes, I did come across it on Beyond Bent.
