Like a few people in this, I'm not real certain the individual(s) in question are even merchants. If they are, probably not very successful ones - almost without exception, all of the people I deal with who are vendors are pretty good folks. And as a store admin, I deal with a lot of vendors on a regular basis. I'm not sure what the motivation behind something like those type of mails would be... my mind doesn't work like that.
