Thanks H2, I work in all views also I guess when I say working window I mean any view(2,3,4,ect.) in the main interface ... not in an editor. for instance I can make ... oh say ..sky adjustmenst from the main working area but I perfer to do my skies in the sky editor. along the same lines I can manipulate scale from the scaling tool in the working area or from within the terrain editor. so tiffs are a good choice...okay.
