Alleycat, 1) My items aint the same as yours, I havent taken the time to individually edit each map, especially the bump map which could do with more work I feel (mine I mean). they are limited in number and type, so folks can see yours and chose ot buy because mine may not have what they are looking for. I'm real sorry if it causes you any problems :/ 2) In general, I'm pretty gawd damn disgusted by the blatant RIP OFF prices of software applications. Every other field's prices, in real terms have come down or have plummeted, compare quality of a PC now compared to 10 years aog and price. Oh and I do own, legitmately, Bryce, Rhino, Lunar Cell and a lot of other things. But look at the prices of apps, I mean, come on that IS A RIP OFF! At least when regarding sales to "private individuals" rather than companies. if a product is not custom designed to order, does not have an extremely small user base, but can be used by ordinary folk on ordinary PCs it shouldn't cost more than one or two weeks wages MAXIMUM. 90% of software producers costs goes on development, but marketing and distribution are a dream, most expensive part of what you actually phycially recieve is the manual. And as broadband becomes better more prevalent, eventually many programs will be download only, that would help with security and reduce costs. In normal consumer relations, governments actively crack down on price rigging and restrictive trade practices...See that happening to software, hm? Long since time protests were organized, as they have been in regards to dubious pricing arrangements elsewhere. Some of that has started to sink into the "corporate mentality", and price reductions and product restructuring are slowly taking place. Other things like EULA's are also being looked at. Sorry, I'm jsut pretty damn annoyed at the rampant greed and stupidity that has become the accepted norms and the standard for morality nowadays sigh. making a profit from your labours is fine, but for goodness sake why can't people SHARE more, for sheer decency of it? 3) To make a living or return for your investment, as you did, is perfectly reasonable. But I just look at my creations as "art", they are for enjoyment and betterment of whoever sees or uses them. But there's a difference between personal use for pleasure, and for profit. I wouldnt be happy if folk used items I made for making MONEY without asking me first. Despite my previous statements grin, I don't think it's right to make profit off osmeone else without their consent. 4) whats "White warez"? 5) I learned a ton of stuff for free, was given lots of free textures and models and help, this is my way of returning that kindness :)
