Ok, I tried all your suggestions. It didn't work, but when I shut down, defragged, rebooted and started back up, it was fine and everything stayed where it was supposed to. I guess my system just got tired? :) Either that or I've got a huge memory problem somewhere that I need to track down. sigh One thing I did discover in all this, a point light in the right place works wonderfully to simulate the morning sun shining in a window. It gives off just the right amount of glare if you set the power between 20 and 40 somewhere. Kate
