I've never had Bryce (5) crash "randomly", but there are two or three guaranteed ways to get it to crash on any PC OS. I run it on 3 different ones, from a 1Gb 2000+ XP to a 128K 750 Win98 and it's exactly the same on each. Having said that, Bryce memory management on XP is superb. I can be running a render, surfing the net, typing a document, all at once and Bryce is always happy and there's no slowdown of other apps. On its own, it never increases the temperature of the CPU by more than 8 degrees, even on complex renders. Poser, on the other hand, uses 30% CPU even when idle!!!!!
