Mine try that on me, occasionally. Every time I lie down for a nap, for instance.

Hey Eric, very original, but one thing...is that cat's name snotbucket?

CryptoPooka ( ) posted Tue, 15 October 2002 at 2:16 AM

My older tabby has gotten into the habit of punching me in the nose to make sure I'm awake to pay attention to him. He creeps up onto the pillow, as close to my face as he can get ... and then starts punching me till I wake up.

Eric, The cat wouldn't touch the dragon's nose (too hot for tender pads). More realistically, he'd jump to the top of the head from the back and enthusiastically knead that ridge just over the brows. This anchors his claws in the right direction for maximum adherence. Skrogg informed me that a wise cat would form a partnership with the dragon but was mum as to the details. Carolly

mine like to give you a Glasgow kiss, that's a headbutt for those who don't know ;)

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Tue, 15 October 2002 at 5:07 AM

hauksdottir, the deal that mine cut with me was: They act irresistably cute and keep my cave free of vermin, and I don't eat them. (They wouldn't be more than a mouthful, anyway, I'd likely expend more calories chewing than I'd gain, and as a general rule I don't eat fellow predators, but let's not tell them that, shall we?) Seriously, they crawl all over me when I'm resting. I think they like to soak up my body heat.

I can tell how cold it is outside by how many of my 9 cats decide to sleep in the bed with me. Last night was a 5 cat night. :-)

LOL Daio who needs a thermometer when you've got cats? We have only 4 cats but I've made that same observation :o) Interesting btw, it seems quite a lot of Poser artists are also cat peeps...

I'm still waiting for the Millenium Cat. When do we get to use something besides the Poser 3 cat? 9 cats!!! One of mine used to like to stick his nose in my mouth to get me up. Eeeewwwww!

My cat is a Blue Somali (it is a long-haired Abyssynian rather fox-like). His particular trick is in the morning, really early: he sits on MY pillow, leaving me no place to put my head on back (because I've been going to the restroom) and then, as I try to adapt, flutters his tail in my face or mouth (the place he chose is convenient for that matter) until I get up to feed him... BTW, are there ways to improve the Poser cat (really not believable), be it long haired or short haired ? Are there ways to make the hair more fuzzy-looking in POSER 4 ? Thanks in advance... Well, brycetech has a transmapped, conforming fur pelt for the cat in the Marketplace. Other than that, your only practical options are postwork or Poser 5.

Great responses about kitties. Mine wakes me up by licking my eyelids. Ever had a rough tongue on eyelids? It works just fine. No possibility of oversleeping with that. You know, I started a gray striped map with the camcorder and got most of the way done (kitty doesn't cooperate too much), but now have a digital camera so maybe its time I finish the project.

Mine squeaks a dog toy to wake me up. It's loud. It works.
