I think it might have been a better idea if CL had just stuck with .rsr thumbnails. Is there really a significant advantage to using .png to outweigh the hassle it causes? Incidentally, who was the bright guy who decided to call both the thumbnail files and the processed object files ".rsr"? I would think you would get kicked out of computer school for that sort thing.
